Abel was not killed in the Garden of Eden. He wasn't even born there. After the fall of man, God sent Adam and Eve out of Eden and placed the Cherubim to guard the entrance to the Garden. They had no children at the timegelli_baranda wrote: ↑01 Jul 2020, 10:06 Eden has always been described as heaven on Earth. If it was, with all the good things there, shouldn't a murder a mishap in the so-called paradise?

I don't believe the murder happened in Eden since Adam and Eve were taken out of the garden. I also believe that Eden was less of a physical location and more of an atmosphere of God's constant presence, where man and God could interact readily, easily and directly.gelli_baranda wrote: ↑01 Jul 2020, 10:06 Eden has always been described as heaven on Earth. This is very interesting. Paradise is not always perfect. It makes a lot of sense because even though the murder happened outside paradise, the devil was able to deceive man while still in paradise.Henrytbab wrote: ↑08 Jul 2020, 09:26I think one way to address this would be to say calling it paradise doesn't mean all and everything that happens there is always good. But it is the case that most of the times, good things happen I in paradise. The one-third of the angels that were said to rebel also rebelled in heaven. But I don't really know how plausible this explanation is.gelli_baranda wrote: ↑01 Jul 2020, 10:06 Eden has always been described as heaven on Earth. I doubt it exists on Earth. I believe Eden was a place of constant presence of God. Maybe Eden was taken to Heaven. Who Knows!NDeMeer wrote: ↑30 Jul 2020, 02:16 The murder happened after Adam and Eve had been thrown out of the garden of Eden, so yes, Eden is still a paradise and murder could not take place there. I guess the question that follows from this is: Does Eden still exist on Earth? Does that mean we have 2 paradises: Eden and Heaven? Interesting things to think about!
