Did God forgive abel for killing his his brother?

Post by Sophia Damilola Ajayi »

Cain killing Abel was the first account of murder in the history of mankind, an incident that happened in the most priceless location in the entire world. So many questions have been asked regarding the factuality of this incident. As it had occurred eons ago, information has been lost and no one can really give a factual account. The bible is the only source that talks about it in depth but not even to our understanding. Did God really forgive Cain for staining his paradise with blood?

No. He didn't. The Bible is every clear that the sin of killing his brother was not the determining factor of God not forgiving Cain. Rather, it's his lack of repentance that God looked at and decided not to forgive him.
I'm here for a good time, not a long time. Yolo!

The simple answer to this question is no. No, God did not forgive Cain for staining His paradise with the blood of his brother. As this was the first murder to ever occur and very little is known in regards to the first few chapters of Genesis, it is very important to note was is mentioned. In Genesis 4 verse 11, God curses Cain, if He had forgiven Cain then He would not have punished him as severely as He did. The curse he bears is to be a wanderer and have hardships with the earth he walks on. I believe with what is known God did not forgive Cain, but made a public example of what would happen to those who followed Cain into murder, which was being cursed by God. The book showed a life of prosperity for Cain, but this was most likely not accurate in accounts with the Bible.

It was Cain who killed Abel. I think it was the first murder and God punished him by laying a curse on him that was hi punishment. Well I think of he prayed for forgiveness he would be forgiven.

I think I'll answer your question with other questions. Did God not forgive Cain? Did God punishment to Cain for killing his brother mean that he did not forgive him? If so, then I say that God does not forgive us, since he punishes us.

Please Cain killed his brother, not Abel. It is made clear in the Bible that it was due to a lack of Cain's repentance that God punished him.

Your title seemed a little wrong put and confusing, it was Cain that killed Abel his brother, not the other way round.

Please for Clarity purpose, Cain was the one that committed the murder, and God forgives all as long as we ask for it.

Guess there was slightly misplacement of name in the question. God is loves and if you confess you sin he will forgive. It was also applicable for Cain.

The room for forgiveness was always there. It is mostly on Cain's part for not embracing it.

I don't think god is meant to have forgiven Cain as he never asked for forgiveness but perhaps he should have anyway.

I'm not sure where to answer this question from whether from my knowledge of this book or from the bible but in both books God forgives Cain for killing his brother but still punished him for his sin
