Is Zona believable?

There is an element of fantasy in the last few chapters, but I loved it all. I thought the relatively slow pace in the beginning just added to the suspense. I'd call it a fantasy adventure novel. Maybe it isn't to everyone's taste, but I think it is a great book.

I think the whole name Zona, from the beginning makes it sound out of this world.

I feel that the book was a bit too slow to pick up and that was rather annoying. However the plot was generally nice
and the description of Zona was quite believable and alluring.

I think the book lacked a sufficient description of Zona. The very few details as well as the inability of the author to emphasize or pay attention to landmarks has prompted me to see Zona as a fictional setting.

Was Zona believable? No, not at all. The descriptions were extremely vague, and it's supposed to be on this planet, but where? I think the author punted on this one.

I'm not done with the book to give a proper judgement but I agree with the slow start. And this is a fiction so beleiving the existence of zona or not is in the hands of the imagination. That is if there is enough details provided.

For me I didn't think the question of Zona being believeable or not is important to me, after all its a science fiction. The whole point is to read and imagine the rest.

Yes. I would strongly recommend that author could have provided even more insightful facts about the location by means of some descriptive facts in the story and also to properly reason out why the area was forbidden? The explanations provided were not sufficient at least for me to imagine a better picture in my mind.

I've read some reviews,and I'm just beginning to read the book.I couldn't agree more that the beginning is slow hence uninteresting.I hope it gets better as I read.

I believe the author could have done a better job at describing Zona. I am not sure, if it is an actual place, but as the story goes, it's supposed to be an unexplored region of Siberia.

Yes, it can be quite annoying when a story is slow to develop when concerning the storylines. I do think that the descriptions were fairly good though but completely agree that there where some areas that dragged.

Either Zona is just a mythical land or a real geographical location, the circumstances surrounding it are all there. Should it be in Siberia, or somewhere else, it is its being mystical that is important.

I have not yet read Zona: The forbidden land. The narrative seems to leave gaps for the reader to fill-in. This might not be appealing to every reader. I am not sure if I would enjoy the book in light of the gaps and highlighted slow start.
