I totally agree with you. I didn't notice them because I was engrossed while reading.

I also noticed the same, and i wish that it would have been addressed.

I also felt that way about Boris and Irina, it did look like they were up to something more, something deeper than what was explained in the book.

I do feel that some characters were not completely shown to us, in the aspect of their full personalities. The author didn't delve into that and just went straight to the main topic of the day.

Some things weren't explained in the beginning. I expected Irina to be sneaky, but the ending was happy. The beginning and end don't match, so the exciting part wasn't as good as I hoped.

Exactly! I agree with you. The author left several open loops unresolved in the following sections.

Since the author did not provide clarity, I assume that Yuri was the one who broke into the apartment at the beginning of the novel. If I remember correctly, the vehicle the thief used matches Irina's, and Yuri is known to be her driver. Additionally, I believe the author described their physique and dressing style similarly.

One lingering mystery is the identity of the maid. Who is she, and who sent her to Grant's room?

I hope the author addressed these loose ends in the sequel.
