This was a fantastic book. I am a big fan of trams world fantasy - I loved the George and the Dragon series, for instance - and this book had me from page one. The characters were richly developed, the plot easily followed but not predictable, and the world so immersive that I was loath to leave (I had to resist the urge to go get the next in the trilogy). I recommend this book highly!
