Volume 1 of The S'orne Saga by C.M. Pendleton:
In this fast-paced, action-packed adventure, C.M. Pendleton takes readers on an epic journey with Thorn. Thorns are a race of humans with the unique ability to flee their home planet to escape powerful enemies. The story takes place in an imaginative universe filled with strange and wondrous creatures, advanced technology, and political intrigue.
The main character, Elon, is a Thorn warrior tasked with protecting and leading his people to safety. Embarking on a perilous space journey, they must navigate treacherous terrain, face deadly obstacles, and confront their own fears and doubts. Along the way, Elon meets a memorable cast of characters, including other Thorn warriors, human scientists, and a mysterious alien race that may hold the key to their survival.
What sets this book apart is its strong worldview and attention to detail. From the unique Thorn culture and language to the intricate mechanics of advanced spaceships, the authors have put a lot of effort into creating an incredibly engaging universe. The action is also well written and suspenseful. It's filled with thrilling battles and tight escapes that keep the reader hooked until the very end.
Overall, The Great Migration is a solid start to his S'orne saga, with plenty of potential for future installments. If you're a fan of his sci-fi adventure stories with a heavy focus on world building and character development, I highly recommend checking out this book.

A wonderful work of world-building that doesn't weary the reader to death. This novel allows for action and adventure to take center stage while creating the world around it, unlike initial volumes in a series and first-time authors who often delve into the intricacies and leave the reader dozing. This fantastic trip with twists and turns flows nicely in terms of both the tale and the conversation. I've read science fiction and fantasy books for a very long time, but I didn't anticipate that.
