Review of Seven Essays on Creation
Seven Essays on Creation by Dan M. Mrejeru is a collection of essays that explain the complexities of nonlinear theories on creation. The author explained that the essays don’t attempt to provide proof or conclusions regarding creation. They suggest various paths that can be used to discover the answers to questions about creation. The purpose is to spark discussion of ideas, rather than to provide answers. The essays explore human behavior and evolution. After each essay, the author provided a dialogue between individuals who discussed and questioned the information presented in the essays. These discussions explored concepts in the form of an in-depth conversations applying complex principles.
After the seven essays were presented, the author included two additional sections under the heading, “Beyond the Essays.” These sections address nonlinear approaches in categories that include “Rhythms of the Brain,” “Rhythms Present in Animal Evolution,” and several discussions about mutations. These are just a few of the topics addressed. The last section, “Breaking the Symmetry,” focused on archeological data regarding nonlinear behaviors and symmetrical aspects of beta rhythms in the brain.
The topics discussed in this book are very complex and not for the casual reader. I found the topics difficult to understand at times. The scientific terms and explanations are very advanced. What I liked most about the book were the discussion sections at the end of each essay. I felt that these discussions between individuals helped to express these complex ideas and concepts in a way that was easier to understand for the non-scientific reader. These discussions made the topics more interesting and relatable.
The author covered a wide range of topics in the essays. He is very knowledgeable about these topics and explains them in detail. A considerable amount of research went into writing this book. However, there were many errors throughout the book. They became distracting to me as I read and tried to understand the complex concepts explained by Mrejeru. For this reason, I don’t believe the book was professionally edited. With additional editing, the information the author conveyed in the book would be more easily understood by readers.
It is difficult to recommend this book without additional editing. However, after the errors are corrected, I would recommend this book to readers interested in advanced scientific discussions about complex creation topics focused on nonlinear thinking. I liked the organization of the book and the discussions following each essay. They will benefit readers who want to learn about these topics. However, due to the errors, I give this book a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. I wouldn’t give it a lower rating because the author has provided a significant amount of research in an interesting format that will appeal to readers with an interest in this topic.
