The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan

I've decided to pick up another large series to tackle and that is "The Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan, so far I am enjoying the chosen one premise but found most of the sequences to be awfully boring unfortunately, does this get better the more I read? Or will the quality deteriorate?
