Review of Dimensions Break
“Dimensions Break” by K.M. Storm is a captivating sci-fi fantasy novel that intricately weaves the magical world of witches with the lives of ordinary people. The story begins with Brian and Lucy, a loving couple residing in an abandoned sawmill. Lucy is expecting their child. As they prepare for their engagement, their lives are disrupted by the evil witch Lavonia, who banishes them to the 'Netherworld' and abducts their child, Clisma.
Lavonia raises Clisma in isolation, keeping her unaware of her true parentage and the outside world. Despite Lavonia's efforts, Clisma grows curious about the world beyond her confines and eventually attempts to escape. Unbeknownst to her, a series of dark secrets and challenges await her on the outside.
On her journey to freedom, Clisma encounters Sir Burton, who finds himself in a similar predicament. Will they be able to face the numerous challenges ahead and achieve their goal? Read the book to discover their fate.
K.M. Storm has crafted a beautifully intricate plot filled with twists and turns that keep readers engaged from beginning to end. The pacing is superb, ensuring that the narrative never lags. The characters are well-developed and distinct, each contributing significantly to the story's depth. Clisma, in particular, stands out for her bravery and resilience, while Sir Burton, a loyal companion, endears himself to readers with his steadfast support of Clisma throughout her trials.
The author's vivid descriptions and attention to detail bring the mystical elements of the story to life, creating strong visuals in the reader's mind. The language is simple and accessible, making the book an easy and enjoyable read.
However, the book's enjoyment is marred by noticeable editing issues. Numerous grammatical errors and spelling mistakes suggest a lack of professional editing, which can disrupt the reading experience and sometimes require readers to reread sentences to grasp their meaning. Additionally, the ending felt somewhat abrupt, leaving some aspects of the story unresolved.
Overall, “Dimensions Break” is a thoroughly enjoyable read, despite its editorial shortcomings. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars, with a deduction for the editing issues and the somewhat unsatisfactory conclusion.
