This is a tough one because mostly all I read are fantasy books. I definitely love lotr and the hobbit, those will always have a soft spot in my heart. However, growing up I always loved the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull as I felt totally familiar with the characters, almost like. I was a part of their adventure to the point where when I finished the series, I felt a hole in my life, and I was extremely sad because it really felt like I lost friends. Recently thought, by favourite fantasy series is the entire Shadowhunter series by Cassandra Clare because its AMAZING.

The vampire academy was hands down a pretty good fantasy book. Once i started it i could not put it down. Rose, a half-human , must do whatever it takes to protect Lissa, her Moroi best friend. But they have enemies both inside and outside the walls of St. Vladimir's Academy.

When it comes to fantasy fiction, 'The Wolves of Mercyfalls' by Maggie Stiefvater would be my all time favourite. Though I fell in love with the concept of werewolves because of 'Twilight', 'The Wolves Of Mercyfalls', made me love werewolves in such a way that they became a part of me. Although, the magical and supernatural elements are the things which I search for and felt content within all fantasy books, this book differed as it talked a lot about the inner self conflicts of people, to confront something that they are not yet ready to face. The whole series left me in awe and Iam happy to proclaim my love for it.

Lord of the Rings and Inheritance Series are my favourite. I am looking to read other interesting fantasy series. Suggestions are welcome 🙂

This is a difficult choice, I have read some crazy good fantasy stories and all of those have a special space in building my love for books. So be it, Percy Jackson, by Rick Riordan, Shadowhunters by Cassandra Clare, Harry Potter by JK Rowling, or Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer.

Ugh, I can't decide between them :!: :P

I love Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover series. I used to own many years ago, but eventually downsized to create space in my tiny house. Then came Covid and now i am slowly building my collection back up. I also love Star Trek Novels as it is so easy to visualize the characters and ships and such, having watched the various Star Trek permutations since childhood. Also, even though i am an adult, i am also an artist and have a great appreciation of art and so I collect graphic novels. I especially like the Star Trek graphic novels, and the British Dan Dare. Also the classic graphics like Pride and Prejudice, and The Illiad. I avoid graphic novels with great amounts of blood, graphic sex, and excessive swearing and use of f-ck. Good story telling is suggestive and subtle rather than vulgar and crude. and of a precise and varied intellectual vocabulary.

To be honest, I am relatively new to the fantasy world of books. My taste in books have changed over the years. About a year ago, I started getting bored with the typical genres I lean towards. That's when a friend recommended the ACOTAR series as a starting point. I cruised through the whole series in a total of about 2 weeks worth of reading! Needless to say, Sarah Maas has me hooked.

Lord of the rings was formative literature for me so it will always hold to special place in my heart for the best fantasy. I also love the inheritance saga, and Harry Potter. More recently I have found a lot of gems like the illuminaries, anything by VE Schwab, the drowned woods, and many others.
