Review of The Keepers
In one of the universes, the Earth, lives a little girl named Tia. She had made a terrible mistake in her choice of a new mommy, and consequently, her childhood was stolen and filled with painful memories. Three incidents surrounding her birth particularly caused troubles for her. But the most curious thing is that the obstacles against her grow along with her; that is, the older she gets, the bigger and more varied her problems become.
Meanwhile, Tia is exceptionally gifted and empathic. But why does she have to endure so much pain and loss? Now, there are supernatural entities that interfere with the affairs of humans living in the various multiverses out there; call them aliens or the keepers. As the story unfolds, we get to learn, through the account of Tia's doppelganger, what the actions of these entities, both the good and bad among them, hold for the life and fate of Tia.
The Keepers, written by H.I.F.Y. DMM, delves into the discourse on the multiverse, the existence and interferences of aliens (the keepers), and the impacts of the negotiations that go on in the supernatural realms on our physical lives and activities in a given universe. This was developed with exceptional finesse. The narrative spanning from the operation on Tia's head to the encounters with the black fiery dragon and the contacts with Tia1, Tia2, Tia3, and Tia4 were most remarkable for me, as they provided me with deep insights on such issues as predestination, predetermination, and the struggle for self-preservation.
Reading this book has invoked in me a sort of curiosity to understand certain things about existence and human nature. So many questions are coming up. Could it be that the changes we attribute to growth, education, experience, and enlightenment are actually physical manifestations of some supernatural (extraterrestrial) negotiations and swaps? What if our body, to our ignorance, is now occupied by another being and our true self is now occupying another body existing somewhere else in another universe? Could it be that we have been roaming from one universe to another and have been unaware of it because our previous knowledge and awareness are being erased at the point of each transition?
The attention put into proofreading this work is impressive, but there are some errors that need to be fixed in a subsequent edition. I rate The Keepers 5 out of 5 stars because the narrative is enthralling and thought-provoking. The errors I pointed out are few and not so disturbing as to warrant the deduction of any stars. I truly enjoyed reading this book and recommend it to lovers of sci-fi and fantasy, as well as to those interested in extraterrestrial and self-awareness discourses.
