I have read all of them. The series is about a sister and a brother (Seth and Kendra) and their grandparents. There's an organization known as the Society of the Evening Star that is trying to essentially destroy everything that the grandparents and other sanctuary keepers are trying to work towards. There are several known mythical sanctuaries and even a few hidden ones. Hidden throughout these, are magical artifacts that keep the mythical creatures not only safe, but prevent the dangerous ones from getting out and shut down all the sanctuaries. Will they be able to stop the society before it's too late?

I like the plot premise, but the execution drags a bit in the middle of the series. The characters are lively and well-developed. I also like how you pretty much see every mythical creature under the sun as well as a few more. I would recommend it for anyone who likes fantasy, adventure, and mystery put together.

Loved this book. This was the first book I ever read in first grade and this book is the reason I am so hooked into reading.

I read the first one and wanted to continue, but I could never find the rest of the series at a library.

I really enjoyed these books! I like Seth as a character, and other characters later on. I suppose it's a little short, but over all the writing is pretty good, the plot is interesting, and it doesn't get too dull in later books. I only wish the main antagonist was a little less "all-powerful" but I can't say more than that without giving the books away.
