How far can one go to right a wrong? What is the cost of an addiction? Can anything be done to remedy it? The Goblin Addiction by Joe Paul Vanhaverbeke is a fantasy and mystery novel that paints a story of goblins, their way of life, and how far a person can go to satisfy a craving.

The book tells the story of two distinct groups of creatures: the Unctionites, who were humans, and the citizens of Watusi, who were goblins. The paths of these two were never met to cross until a set of Unctionite boys killed and ate a goblin. After tasting the goblin meat for the first time, they were addicted and couldn’t stop. They started hunting for more, which was an abomination to the Unctionites. Coach Mayfield was given the duty of finding the boys who had committed the atrocity. On the other side, the Watusi goblins were preparing for war over the killing of their people while being led by Kafclack. Coach Mayfield had to set out on a journey to right the wrong, and so many twists happen along the way in this dangerous and arduous journey.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It was a beautiful fantasy story with so many interesting and novel concepts, which I found very fascinating. I loved the description of goblins and ogres, which was very interesting to read. I particularly loved the conversations between different characters in the story and Jobo, the creator, which gave a lot of insight into the story. The book had so many new ideas, which made it a very different and exciting fantasy story. I totally loved the book.

Although I enjoyed reading the book, I felt some parts of the story were a little off the hinge and difficult to tie to the actual plot. I also found about two punctuation errors, which, however, did not impede my understanding of the story. The book contained a lot of profanities, which may be offensive to sensitive readers. Aside from these minor dislikes, I really enjoyed and loved the story.

I rate this book four out of five stars for its excellent and well-crafted story. I removed a star due to the dislikes stated above. The book was professionally edited, although I found very little punctuation error. I recommend this book to non-sensitive readers who are lovers of good fantasy novels. I also wholeheartedly recommend this book to fantasy book lovers. This is a beautiful read that will keep you at the edge of your seat.

This is a fantasy story about humans and goblins and ogres as well that includes many concepts and ideas. Despite the parts that are not well connected to the actual plot, this seems like an engaging novel. Thank you for your great review!
