Justice Primordials: Theia Thereafter Book 1, written by Waymond Wood, is a story of asylum and reconstruction after escaping a war-torn planet.

The D'hymons, who live on Theia, are at the heart of The Perpetual War.  Just mentioning them will send chills down the spine of even the most hardened warriors.  Their high intelligence led them to create Plasmetal, an indestructible substance forged from star plasma.  The D'hymons destroy planets and civilizations to get more and more Plasmetal.  The resistance sacrificed many lives to destroy Theia. This is the story of two D'hymon survivors, Gaia and Chaos.

Wood has done an excellent job of creating the world in this book. The description of the three guardian creatures is particularly poetic. The use of magic and magical items combined with technology and inventions is also unique and creative. Wood uses a compelling mixture of suspense and intrigue, prompting readers to contemplate themes of survival, resilience, and the complexities of moral choices.

I did not like the large time jumps in this book.  I understand it is necessary to explain the world and the lives of those living there; however, I would have preferred if there had been more descriptions of the events and after-effects.  Reading this book felt a bit like reading a history book that only talks about very major events and nothing small, which is a shame because it feels like there is information missing.

I rate Waymond Wood's book, Justice Primordials: Theia Thereafter Book 1, two out of five stars.  While there are good aspects to this book, I feel the characters and scenes lacked depth.  I also found a plethora of errors while reading; I believe this book needs to be professionally edited.

I recommend this book for young adult readers who are interested in science fiction novels, war stories, and world-building.
