Seems like an interesting book especially to a magic and fantasy loving reader. The review is great but I'm more into realism than a world dimension where creatures can shape shift.

If you like fantasy novels with a twist of science fiction then this might be a great place to start. Especially if you are a fan of multiple dimension theory with weird and magical creatures.

The second book of the three Mitosis series, "Metaphase: Beauty in the Chaos" by Mitchel Street delves into the fantasy world of two realms of the Infants and the Matures. Eli's quest to destroy Piper's existence to remain in power is replicate of the constant battle between the evil and good. Fantasy and magical lovers would appreciate reading this book.

I love sci-fi fantasies and Piper's world in Metaphase: Beauty in the Chaos by Mitchel Street sounds like a rich one. Although, I do think it may be better to read the first book before this one to truly understand the world better.

All I have to say—excellent book! Interesting, gripping, fast-paced, with a sophisticated storyline and great characters. I found this book by accident and really enjoyed how easy it was to draw parallels with historical intrigues of court, despite magic, shapeshifting and all things supernatural. The plot was developing evenly, unraveling mysteries along the way. Congrats on BOTD it is well deserved!

Metaphase seems like a great book. Based off of the great review the whole series is a must read for people who enjoy the fantasy/sci-fi genre. The author seems to have done a great job in regards to world building and writing a captivating tale. I also like that the story has an element of romance to it.

A creative world of magic - I like the idea of the shapeshifters, and the names chosen to indicate what these magical creatures are. This is a wonderful background to describe the fight between Eli and Piper, the fight between evil and good.

The premise of this book is interesting. Piper has to find a way to shield herself from being detected by her evil uncle, Eli. I'd like to know whether or not she succeeded.

Thank you for such a detailed and enthusiastic review! I really appreciated how you explained the different types of Matures—like Vampacoti and Avians—and how their magical forms connect to the idea of the fourth dimension. The concept of Infants and Matures living in separate dimensions, with Matures able to interact with light-based energy and create portals, sounds incredibly imaginative. I especially liked that you mentioned how the author included just enough background from the first book to make this second installment easy to follow. It’s great to know that the story combines action, suspense, and fantasy without relying on graphic content. Your review definitely makes me want to check out the series from the beginning so I can follow Piper’s full journey as a hidden princess!

“Metaphase: Beauty in the Chaos” by Mitchel Street is the second book of the three book sci-fi series Mitosis. The world is divided into two realms; one made up of Infants in the third dimension and Matures in the fourth dimension. The Matures are able to shapeshift from humans into magical creatures including large cats called Vampacoti, large birds called Avians, large horses called Equuians, whales called Cetacities and large wolves called Canites. Piper grew up in the third dimension for her first 18 years and never knew she was a Guardian princess. Her mother had sent her to live with the Infants to protect her from her evil brother Eli, a dictator who was on the edge of madness. Stacy and Rob were a young couple chosen to parent Piper in a small town in Wisconsin. In the first book in this series Eli learned about Piper’s existence and set out to destroy her to ensure his reign. In this book Piper searched for the three elements needed to create a pendant that would shield her from detection by Eli’s followers. The author brought readers up to speed by summarizing book one. This is an action-packed book that can be read by adults and teenagers since it does not contain any sex scenes, graphic violence or profanity. I would like to learn more about the fourth dimension since based on the research I conducted online scientists have found that it does not exist. Mathematicians believe it could but they have no proof. Mathematicians also believe there could be 11 dimensions and they use outer space to show what these dimensions could look like. Since this is a sci-fi book, the author used the concept of the fourth dimension in this series.

I love fantasy, and Piper’s story sounds like something I’d enjoy—discovering she's a Guardian princess of the Fourth Dimension, learning to wield her powers, and standing up against her tyrannical brother to free her world and restore balance. Thanks for the review!

"Metaphase" by M. Street sounds interesting, and the idea of shapeshifting into animals is awesome. I would like to find out whether they are able to find the three elements needed to create Piper’s pendant.

Wow. I can't help but admire the author's creativity to come up with this book. I'm enthralled already by the Infants and Matures, but I'd better start with Book 1.
