I enjoyed the book Dragon Magic by Charles Townsend. The fact that Mr. Townsend stated he was a magician made the book even more enjoyable. I could not find any errors in the book and found Dragon Magic to be appropriate for all ages. I rate this book 5 out of 5. It made reading the story pleasurable as there were no distractions with errors or other grammatical mistakes. I love anything to do with magic and am very partial to dragons.

Dragon Magic is about a magician who must hide a circular object because people are after him. He goes into town, hands the object to Calon, a baker's apprentice, and quickly disappears. Calon quickly hides the object, sensing that it is valuable. The Count of Donbur and his men captured the town. They had imposed strict rules. Suddenly, Donbur's soldiers were everywhere, looking for the magician and the object. Calon knew that he had to leave the town and hide the object. He devised a plan to leave town.

In the meantime, the object starts to move and crack. It was an egg, and a huge animal came out of it. Supposedly, it is a dragon, or is it something else? Throughout the rest of the story, there is a lot of adventure involving the use of magic, deception, and cunning. The objective is to free the castle and the Duke of Koltor.

Mr. Townsend's description of the magic used in the story made it seem so real. The way he cloaked the identity of the object was magnificent and held your attention to the very end. What I enjoyed most was the imagery used to tell the story. I could see the events as they played out. This book was tough to put down. I would not change anything about it. It is the perfect book for people who love magic and dragons. It reads like a movie or TV series in my mind.

I found your review fascinating. I loved how you described the story playing out like a movie in your mind. The combination of magic, dragons, and a high-stakes adventure sounds exactly like my kind of read. Thanks for the vivid recommendation; I’m definitely adding this to my list!

The Magician's Secret was an enthralling fantasy book, and I am glad that the author has written another captivating book. I am wondering about the role of the dragon in the whole plot and how the Duke of Koltor will be freed. Many thanks for the review, @Vera Hersh.

I might be old for this novel but I had good impressions from the reviews of other Charles Townsend's books, so I'll have to try reading his fantasy stories, as they seem engaging and well-constructed. Thank you for your great review!
