The Strange Land by Jennifer Mugrage:

The strange land is an engaging story set in ancient times, following a tribes journey across a mysterious land. The characters feel real, and the story touches on family, faith, and survival. It's easy to read with exciting moments and emotional depth. A great choice for readers who enjoy historical fiction with heart and meaning.

The book sounds interesting and engaging, with the main character trying to get away from his abusive father and find a different path in life - a more meaningful one. However, the religious basis is a major deterrent for me, as I'm not into religious writings. Still, congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I have not read many books that are a spinoff from the Tower of Babel. I wonder if the first book in the series should be read first, since this one takes place after the Tower of Babel. Thank you for your review.

The Strange Land by Jennifer Mugrage takes you on a journey through 10000 BC, when a small tribe known as 'The People' tries to survive in the aftermath of the fall of the Tower of Babel. This is a thoroughly thought-out storyline with great character development and just the right amount of family dynamics to hook you into their daily lives. It takes a highly skilled writer to imagine what life would be like back in 10000 BC and to interweave a storyline parallel to something that occurred in the Bible, which is the Tower of Babel and the scattering of the people to the ends of the earth, is simply genius. Highly recommended.

This sounds like an interesting book to dive into. I'm curious to know about the vision and how it'll affect Ikash's life for the good or the bad. I love the premise of the book and I just simply love the genre. Definitely an intriguing one.

The focus of Jennifer Mugrage's novel The Strange Land is a group of people who are consistently referred to as "The People." They are set in the early times, following the Tower of Babel, when the world's population speaks a variety of languages. The main character, Ikash, resides with his mother, Sari, brothers, and father, Endu. Since he was not born during the tower's construction, his sole experience of life was wandering with the populace. Although Endu, Ikash's father, abuses his family, most people are unaware of this because he is the chief's brother. Ikash's grandmother, Zillah, searches for short-term solutions to this abuse problem and ends up putting Sari and Endu apart for a while.

Thank you for your review. This is a story about a group of people wandering the earth after the Tower of Babel fell. They left their city for their safety. Sadly, even in a small group, there are human issues like domestic abuse.

The Strange Land is thrilling and I would love to know if Ikash was able to find meaning to life and how the vision changes the course of his life.
