'While in reality only around seven hours pass, it can seem as though any amount of time, from a day to an entire year, has passed in the simulation.'
While this sounds interesting, I think there'll be a catch to it.

In this science fiction book, readers will follow characters as simulations place them in different characters' bodies in various settings. The technology is intended to serve as a means of population control. What I wonder is how the simulation's effect on the people's brains is once they leave it.

Jeff Michelson's "Anticipation Day" plunges readers into a near-future where mind-bending simulations promise escape and motivation, but for a group of friends, this seemingly idyllic technological marvel might conceal a far more sinister purpose.

Great review! I also read Anticipation Day and loved the idea of life-like simulations—it felt so real and possible. Alexandra’s story really stood out to me, and I felt her pain. I agree the ending was too quick, but overall, it was a powerful and thought-provoking read.

I always get excited seeing sci-fi novels set in the future, and this book really has it all. I love the concept of a virtual reality and all the underlying emotions the characters feel as they experience it. Awesome review.

Congrats on BOTD!
Jeff Michelson's "Anticipation Day" examines a near future in which simulations provide liberty, a compelling science fiction story about technology, freedom, and reality. Imagine spending an entire year in a virtual environment was the only way to escape your troubles.

These simulations are intriguing. How interesting would it be to be able to spend some time like someone else, and understand the person's feelings and thought processes and experiences. I am already getting carried away just with the idea of it. I am adding this book to my reading list, I am eager to find out what the author has imagined the experience to be for the group of friends.

Anticipation Day" by Jeff Michelson. Is about advanced technology, where virtual reality gearing up to be prominent domain in near future. For this, stimulation is been introduced but how much advanced level can be handed without touching disaster is discussed here

The government project likely has more layers to it; it targets people who are physically healthy and disciplined in their personal and work lives. The outcome for the groups of friends who took part in the simulation to escape reality is intriguing. The sample reading was engaging. Thank you for your excellent review.

I've only read a few pages of the book so far, but this review makes me excited to keep reading it!

I can already see what the reviewer mentioned about the author bringing the characters to life. So far, it seems that the author has written them in a very "real" and relatable way.

The concept of the book is very interesting to me. I agree with the reviewer that the concept doesn't seem overly out of reach in today's technological age. I don't read this type of book often, but the interesting concept, positive reviews, and my enjoyment of the author's writing style so far makes me want to continue. I hope I enjoy it as much as the reviewer did!

Although I haven’t read Anticipation Day yet, I’m intrigued by how the novel blends futuristic technology with personal struggles, especially through the lens of the characters’ simulations. The idea that a simulation could both offer escape and force characters to confront their realities sounds powerful and emotionally layered. I am definitely adding this to my list.

One can travel to a time in the near future by reading the science fiction story book "Anticipation Day" by Jeff Michelson. The features like Alexandra's simulation showing the depth of her stress is interesting point.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.
