So, I wasn’t even planning to read this. I had tabs open for a stupid assignment I wasn’t touching, my roommate was watching reels on speaker (like SERIOUSLY?), and I just clicked on Syndicate Moon. Figured I’d read a page or two.

This book? Drops you in like you walked into the middle of a war, and someone shoved a weapon in your hand. Jael already has this freaky alien tech melted into his arm or something and people are chasing him and I’m just sitting there like huh? But in a good way. I could not stop reading.

The fights hit hard, like, not “cool stunts” hard, but “ow I felt that” hard. Brutal stuff. I mean, seriously. People die, and it’s messy. You don't get pages of setup—just wham!!! someone’s bleeding, and you're like ok then.

I liked that Jael wasn’t some superhero idiot. He messes up. Trusts the wrong people. Snaps at his crew, then regrets it. And his crew’s not perfect either—they felt like real ppl with inside jokes and trauma and stuff they’re clearly NOT talking about. One of them hums before a fight. Why? No idea. But I love it.

Okay random thing but: I had Maggi (Indians know this) sitting next to me this whole time and forgot about it completely. it was cold by the time I looked at it again. Why do I always forget the Maggi? Why is this a pattern?

Some of the tech stuff? I’m a B.Tech student and I still didn’t get it. I just stared at the page like, “sure, quantum flux... thing.” It didn’t matter tho. The tension kept me going. That moon felt like college corridors—fake smiles, silent wars.

Oh, and the guy with the other artifact?? Creepy twin energy. Wish we got more of that. Maybe book three. I hope book three is out soon. I’m not okay.

I loved the fact that the book didn't have editorial errors. It was professionally edited and proofread. I get crazy whenever I notice any typos and errors. I'm the type of guy who corrects his friend's errors. Sorry for that.

Ending didn’t wrap up neatly. Not like “and then…” just kind of drops off. honestly? perfect. matches the vibe.

I'd still rate this book a solid 5 out of 5 stars. It was good. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone who's interested in such genres.

Anyway. its 2:43 am. My eyes hurt. My Maggi’s cold. I don't care. Need the next one ASAP.

The review sounds really interesting and I could only imagine how captivating the novel must have, especially with the analogy of being tossed into the middle of war and being given a weapon. The fact that the editing was exceptional and that the book has received a perfect rating is an added advantage to the readers. Thanks for the review, @VipulPaneri.
