I would love to read Ori's story in "Light Goddess" by Cloris Athena. Bullying and abuse by parents on their kids are traumatic events that are often neglected and overlooked.

Thank you for your review. I read the sample. Ori is an abused child who lives in a fantasy world. It was hard to read the sad story. Hope he overcomes his beginnings and is successful with his music.

Light Goddess" by Cloris Athena, a book that features a story about preserverance and purpose. It will be interesting to read about the character, Ori, and how he endured the various abuses and overcame all these challenges in this story.

I have read a sample of the book on Kindle and really enjoyed it; it is also true that the book evokes different emotions. I liked one statement on the need to reform our current education systems, from cramming and passing exams to actually building knowledge while ensuring one develops their talents. I can see the book is both captivating and enlightening. Thank you for the review, @Joe Alex 2.

It so sad that the parents who are supposed to protect you becomes the bane of your existence and only an imaginary world gives you peace. I will have to read this ASAP.

It's seems like a beautiful story about finding and accepting one's self with the hint of magical elements. Which made the book both entertaining and motivating. A great combination I must say. I would love to check out the book.

This is a well thought out review. I had never heard of poetic fantasy before but it sounds interesting

Ori has been weighed down by the hardship of life; but he's resilient; and in a magic world, he's supported and taught to accept himself, and I just can imagine what happens when a human being accepts himself/herself.

This book sounds truly magical and emotional. I’m really drawn to Ori’s journey from pain to self-discovery and the role the Light Goddess plays in his transformation. The fantasy elements and emotional depth make me want to read it. Congrats BOTD!

Parental abuse was a nightmare for Ori. However, he did not hate his parents. I'm glad he got some respite due to the Light Goddess' intervention. I am rooting for him and others who suffer a similar fate, hoping their ray of light will shine sooner rather than later. Thanks for the insights. I hope the author will consider your recommendations.

I like that the painting on the front cover was done by the author. This is a magical tale with a protagonist who faces many difficulties, but finds solace in his love of music. Another round of editing would remove errors and allow the reader to appreciate the story and writing style.

I feel like the cover is not really matching the topic of the book as it involves school violence. It is a fantasy book but I do not think it will be a good fit for young readers.
