"Light Goddess" by Cloris Athena follows a young abused boy named Ori and his meeting the magical Light Goddess. His love of music helps him be positive. The light Goddess gives a chance to shine. This adventure is sure to be a great BOTD.

Thank you for this heartfelt and balanced review! I was especially moved by your description of Ori’s resilience and his love for music, even in the face of abuse and hardship. The idea of a magical figure like Florithena guiding him toward healing and self-acceptance sounds both inspiring and emotionally rich. I appreciate you mentioning the lyrical writing style and the emotional highs and lows—it gives me a clear picture of what to expect. The note about the slow pacing and editing issues is also helpful, as it sets realistic expectations. Despite the flaws, it sounds like a worthwhile read for anyone drawn to poetic and emotionally driven fantasy.

Poetic fantasy and a magical fairyland are not the elements that make me want to read this book, so I will give it a pass despite the elements that do appeal to me. The perseverance, the love for music and the violin, self-acceptance.

Florithena not only illuminates Ori's path but also gives him a sense of purpose Sometimes we just need someone to believe in us to start believing in ourselves having someone to encourage us can make a big difference.🍄☘️

Ori is in pursuit of success in all his endeavours, including the music. He dreams of being great at it all. Despite the non supportive parents and a life full of hardships, if he's determined he will make it, or will he? Such a real daily life story of struggle to succeed despite being masked in fantasy.

This book appears to be well-written, despite the mentioned errors, but I will pass on it as I'm not a fan of some of the themes explored.

The way you described Ori’s emotional resilience, especially his love for music despite the abuse, really stood out to me. I also found it interesting how the poetic writing style added both beauty and a slower pace. Your mention of the underdeveloped mystical beings helps set expectations—sounds like a deeply moving yet imperfect read.

This poetic fantasy book follows the life of Ori, a boy weighed down by many challenges. The Light Goddess, Florithena, offers Ori a new lease of life and sets him on a path towards transformation. Readers will meet many mystical beings, and Florithena's motherly love will inspire them.

This is an inspiring story about the journey of a young boy, Ori, who dreams of becoming a great musician. Ori is determined and resilient, never losing hope amid his life's challenges.

A book of music, magic and possibilities. I can imagine how Ori must have felt with the way his parents treated him, and then losing the one who truly cared. I would love to read about how things eventually turned out for him with the help of the Light Goddess.

I am terribly sorry to say, but I will have to pass this book because I don't enjoy reading stories about abused children. Especially the ones that are abused by the very people that are supposed to care for them most, to love them unconditionally and infinitely. The family must be a safe harbor, and even though it seems that the life of Ori is an inspirational story of resistance and hope, I have no wish to delve into it. Still, congrats on BOTD!

I especially appreciate how you highlighted the emotional complexity of Ori's journey—his justification of his parents’ love despite their abuse speaks volumes about the nuance in Athena’s storytelling. A truly poetic reflection for a poetic fantasy indeed. Great BOTD
