Has anyone read The Ancient Future trilogy, by Traci Harding

Post by LMR »

Hi

I'm completely new here and am Currently reading the above mentioned book. I can't really decide which genre this book belongs to. The main character is a female called Tori Alexander, who time travels to different periods of time to affect the future, while fighting off an evil presence that plagues Tori and her friends, whom are reincarnated as different characters in each place/time she travels. The travels involve growth of herself and other main characters as well as trusting oneself and intuition to help deal with different situations.

While I am enjoying the books, so far I'm in the middle of the 'second' book, though i purchased the hard copy as a 3 in 1 book, so it's quite large. The books seem to start slow and get better. reading the start of the second book, i was just wanting the books pace to pick up, as a lot of time was spent on describing the scene of time/place in ancient Atlanta, but with much more advanced technology. As i do not 'see' pictures in my head/mind i was just getting confused with the discription process, now the book is starting to gain some pace, as Tori and other main character 'reincarnations' are searching for something that was hidden in the ancient Atlantean times to be found now in the 'future'. while trying to stay ahead of the 'dark' presence.

Tori is also able to fight and helps teach these martial arts skills/philosophy as she travels while also trying to match make love and peace throughout time

interested to hear others view on this book, and where they think this story belongs. though i'm not the greatest in dividing up sub genres lol, i just read the book and see if i like it or not :)
