Brew (salems revenge,#1) by David Estes

Post by Broleej87 »

I was given an advance copy of Brew (salems revenge,#1) by David Estes in exchange for an honest review.
Every book of David's that I've read I have loved this book is no exception. It's an original post apocalyptic novel, I can honestly say I haven't read one like it.

Rhett's life is finally looking up he has a lovely girlfriend Beth, his best friend Xave and a foster family he loves. All that changes when the witches decide to get revenge for the recent witch burning's. The witches come together to slaughter every human alive including his foster family, if it wasn't for his neighbour Mr Jackson, Rhett would be dead too. Mr Jackson knows a lot about the witches including how to kill them and he teaches Rhett everything he knows.when he finds out Xave and Beth have been taken by a gang of witches called the necromancers he vows he will get them back and kill every witch along the way. He rescues a dog called Hex who was used to do magical experiments, who now has some unusual powers. Along the way he meets Laney, a tough shotgun toting teenager and her mute sister Trish. Together they set out to find his friends. He finds out secrets about himself that he has trouble believing. Will these secrets help him on his journey or get him killed?

This is a must read for everyone I just loved it. The characters are memorable and the tale dark and scary. It's the first book in David's new series Salems Revenge. I can't wait to read more It is amazing. I give it 5 stars can't wait for book two Boil which will be available in October. Brew should be available for pre-order around the 10th of September.
