Providence by Jamie McGuire was amazing. I sooo loved this book and this author. It should be on the top 10 lists on books that should make it into the movies. Providence follows the story of Nina and Jared. Nina is a privileged college freshman and in the middle of her 1st semester at Brown University in the city of Providence, when her beloved father passes away. What she didn't expect was to meet a handsome stranger at the bus stop on her way back to school. Nina ends up missing the bus and shares a taxi with the handsome stranger Jared. Jared starts out a little elusive when it comes to Nina. Ever since they met at the bus stop, she coincidently sees him every where she goes, he even takes her out to lunch but evades from giving her his number or taking hers. He acts like he's interested enough but not enough at the same time if you catch my drift. So Nina feels a little rejected which is understandable dealing with a guy who has mixed feelings. But, what Nina is oblivious to, is that her meetings with Jared aren't coincidental, Jared has actually known Nina, her whole life, guarding her, protecting her and she never even knew it. Nina's father plays a big part in this series even though he is only in the book once before he passes away. Every event in Nina's life happens because of him, because he stole something very valuable from the duke of hell. When Nina father passed away, Jared's father passed away on the same day unbeknownst to Nina and that's when Jared decided to make Nina aware of him because he had been in love with her for so many years but their fathers forbade it.
In this series Nina not only finds out that Jared is her secret bodyguard but he has super human abilities. Jared is a Hybrid half angel and half human and Nina is Jared's Taleh. In other words Jared is Nina's guardian Angel and has a connection to her so strong that there life span coincides with each other and he can feel her emotions. Throughout this series Nina is in constant struggle to figure out her father's deepest darkest secrets and the mystery surrounding her heritage. Nina and Jared go through hell and back literally to be together all the while trying to sustain a normal life, realizing that nothing is coincidental in life and that all these situations are meant to be. This is a coming of age novel, Starting off in Nina's college years all the way to her graduating dealing with grown up situations, and Jared protecting her all the way. The only thing I didn't like about this series is that it ended

I really hope Jamie writes more fantasy novels as this story was beautifully written. I enjoyed it and definitely wouldn't mind seeing it in the movies soon. From the characters, to the city they story took place and the vacations that they took everything was intricately detailed. And of course I will be reading Jamie McGuire's other novels as well because I'm sure that they will be on my blog too as books to watch out for that should be in the movies. Hoped you guys enjoyed this review!!!!!!!!
