Blood of Eden

Post by SlightlyNikki »

Has anyone read the Blood of Eden triology? They are by Julie Kagawa. I've seen one of her series on here but I haven't read it yet. The third book of this trilogy is yet to be released. I love these books though, they're different to the usual vampire books. I'm sure those who've read them will understand what I mean :')

The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden #1) by Julie Kagawa Wow! What can I said about this book. This book is amazing and I love every pages of it. I keep reading til I know what happen next. I have to said that Allison is my favorite character, I like her attitude. She sound so bad azz and I would love to meet her in person if she were real. I would defiantly chose katana as my weapon, but I prefer two katana which is would be so much easier. When I got to the end where the part where she knew she have to leave Zeke and never come back, I kind of almost cried. Allison would do anything to save those humans no matter how long she tried. I can not wait to read the next book, and know what happen next. Just too exciting. :)

Allison Sekemoto survives in the Fringe, the outermost circle of a walled-in city. By day, she and her crew scavenge for food. By night, any one of them could be eaten. Some days, all that drives Allie is her hatred of them, the vampires who keep humans as blood cattle. Until the night Allie herself dies and becomes one of the monsters.

Following Allison through her struggles, first as prey to the predators around her, then as the predator herself, is intriguing.
We learn the ins and outs of vampirism, as she learns, and that not all is as it seems.
We watch as she learns the truth of the virus and it's cause, as she stumbles through life as a new vampire, learning from her sire, Kanin. But Kanin has some secrets of his own.

Soon she's forced to leave, to make her way across the places ruled by the rabids (think vampire, zombie, hybred but worse) on a mission she can't begin to understand.

Seperated from her teacher Allison finds friends and foes on her way down a rabbit hole full of hope, hate, death, and love.

This book kept me turning pages long after I should've been asleep. It made me laugh out loud, and broke my heart, and I loved every minute of it.
Allison is a good, strong, character. Kanin breaks my heart. I love him. He is a perfect counterpoint for Allison.
So many characters live and breath in these books. I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried.
Plus, she has a sword, I love a strong heroin with a sword.
Pronouns: She/Her

What is grief, if not love persevering?

Grief is just love with no place to go.

I loved that book and am now reading the second one. I can't wait to see what all happens. I found the first one sad at the end and hope she can be reunited with her love in the last book. He was so sweet and loved her so much. :D
