Sheltered Book Addict

Post by Fooxie Darkbloom »

I feel like I am a sheltered book reader. I have yet to see a book I have read a new york best seller maybe that because I love fantasy, romance and historical books and some thriller. Half the must read books are books I have never heard of nor seem that interesting to me. I guess I don't like main stream books. I read a lot of books before they became popular. I have read Twilight, Vampire Academy and Ella Enchanted. I love P.C. Cast but very few know who that is. Are there any more shelter book readers out that? Those who don't know the or have read all the New York sellers.

If you use the Search button at the top of the Home Page you will find members have already set up topics for Twilight, Vampire Academy and Ella Enchanted. Also there are a number of topics for various books by P C Cast.
These are not to my reading taste but there are lots of members here who I'm sure they can provide plenty of suggestions for you.

Hey! If you're looking for suggestions of less well-known authors or books, I'd recommend you look at Victoria Hanley or Donita K. Paul. I love both of their writing styles! Both are fantasy writers; Paul has a fantastic series about dragons called The DragonKeeper Chronicles, and Hanley wrote a few companion novels about healing and magical abilities, including The Light of the Oracle - one of my favorite books!

Also, have you read P. C. Cast's Divine (Partholon) series? I think that's probably my favorite work of hers :)
