The Carpet People, Terry Prachett: original vs revised?

I can't seem to find any info to answer the question of what is the difference between the original and the revised. All I managed to find out is that with the popularity of discworld series the publisher wanted to publish a new edition of The Carpet People. And Terry Prachett felt like "rewriting it here and there" in response. Maybe he didn't like how he wrote some of it way back when he was 17. Who knows. Problem is due to the rarity of the original version I'll never be able to read it for myself or to compare side by side with the revised. The local library network only has the revised. The closest I came to finding out is an old thread somewhere else with someone who had both versions with a promise to look into it but never followed through
