Re: Maximum Ride by James Patterson (Spoiler Alert!)

Okay first off, I have to say that the second and third books were my favourites, I loved the names of the books. (School's out forever and Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports with a name like that who wouldn't want to read it?) First, they take out the school, then they start spreading awareness across the world about how the world will be destroyed and then the take down Itex! With style! Not exactly inthat order too! There is an awesome plot all around with these books, the characters are life like, except for the wings and vibrant. The flock are the type of people you want to jump into the book and meet. The bad guys just make you want to punch them in the face or throw them out a window. They were the best books by far along with the first one.

I still read the rest of them but instead of doing awesome stuff like kicking eraser's butts it is more focused on romance between Max and Fang. Max was being all jealous because of Bridget after she had refused Fang's feelings in the first place. Then when they finally get together Angel decides to take over the flock AND KICK THE TWO MOST POWERFUL BIRD KIDS OFF IT!!!!! I mean if she is going to take over at least keep them in the flock! However even worst then that, the rest of the flock actually agrees with the decision! They completely betray Max and Fang after they have been through so much together! I am sorry but betrayal hits me close to the heart, because I know that if my best friends betrayed me I would be completely lost and shattered without them.

That's not even the worst part there are lots of plot holes in the books and Max isn't all let's kick eraser's butts and get out alive, she's we have to save the world from the apocalypse! Which is great but it's from pollution, radiation and virus! It's not against some evil villain. Not that these things aren't bad but still. Over all I would completely recommend you read the first three books, but for the rest do whatever you want. If you want to read them go ahead but if you are put off by all of the bad reviews here and are afraid you will be wasting your money and time, just don't.

I recently read the maximum ride series again just for fun and still think that it is an amazing series. The books take you through so many twists and turns that I often found myself talking out-loud to the book trying to tell the characters what to do. I really enjoyed the book series even now that I am older. I started reading the series when they first came out and am pleasantly surprised that i still enjoyed them so much.
