The Girl in the Box (books 1 -3): by Robert J. Crane

Post by K Venne »

This is a review on the first 3 books in a 10 book series: Alone, Untouched and Soulless by Robert J. Crane.

If you enjoy Xmen and Marvels Agents of Shield genre with a strong female lead - then you will enjoy this series.

The author takes us on rough ride with a young 17 year old named Sienna Nealon who has lived a very sheltered life alone with her mother. She's home schooled and is not allowed to leave her house or have any other human contact. However all of this changes abruptly one day when her house is broken into while she's home alone and she has to fight for her life.

However these intruders aren't who she first believes them to be, and things take an interesting turn when she learns more about herself and who she really is.

Sienna is alone in this new world and she's very untrusting of her new friends, which is very understandable considering her upbringing. However I sometimes found her character to be incredibly mean

This is a great series and the books always end on cliffhangers leaving you wanting to know what happens next.

Latest Review: "The Reform" by Almondie Shampine

Amazon was doing a promotion a while back for the series books 1-3 for free. After I read the first three, I decided to look into the author to see when the rest (if there was any) would be coming out. Much to my surprise there were already seven others out. I was a binge read weekend for me. Now the author has written 10 total for this specific series and is in the middle of the "Out of the Box" series, which includes all the same characters, they are just in a different role.
I have to say that Robert Crane and these series are one of my top ten.
