Sid Red Rim by Haley Kate

Post by MRogue »

Sid Red Rim is a recently released novel in the fantasy genre.
The title of the book is in itself captivating even though puzzling and the book content does not disappoint.
Filled with tales of magic and magical creatures like witches and ghosts, the story is creative in its own right.

This story as told by Haley Kate is based on the story of a young man called Sid who due to a curse in his infancy cannot go to sleep. Due to this condition, he is abandoned by his mother and finds himself being raised by a couple of outcasts. As a consequence of his curse never to slumber, Sid's body does no get enough rest and so grows weary by the day. Also, as a result, Sid has the ability to see ghosts. However, facing his impending doom he finds hope to be saved from this curse. This book tells the tale of Sid as he goes on a journey, one of hope, a journey to find salvation from his curse.

It's a really good book. The fantasy world created by the author full of witches and ghosts and even dwarfs is an ideal one for the story as it creates an ideal setting to help you navigate through the story.
The style used by the author for descriptions used to depict scenes, characters and even thoughts, create idealistic images which immerse the reader into the book. It made me as the reader feel like I was part of this magical world and that I was part of Sid's journey throughout the book.
Even more action comes into play throughout the novel and I found myself anxious to see what would come next. And the book did not disappoint.
Each scene is well-developed and the story advances in a chronological order so that one follows it clearly and does not get confused at any point.

The conclusion was also quite good as I love a book with an ending of hope, joy and peace where one is satisfied that these are the rewards for all the good and suffering in life.

This is a book I would recommend to people of all ages and especially children and teens who would be welcomed into this magical world of adventure where good is rewarded and evil is condemned.
I give this book a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book as an interesting, adventurous, moderately long book that is definitely a must read for all those children who should learn to cultivate and develop their imaginations, even as they develop morally and are interested in the genre.
