Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs is the ninth book in the Mercy Thompson series. Mercy is a coyote shifter who is mated to the Colombian basin alpha, Adam Hauptman. Mercy continues to find herself in dangerous situations battle trolls and the fae for the sake of her pack and her sanity. After the troll attacks in Mercy's territory she is called to bring in the pack for help to stop him only to find that the situation worsens with their involvement. Mercy provides safety and protection to those who need it regardless of the costs making her by far one of the best heroines in current literature.
