Hello, I am new to this community and wanted to do a read along with some people... but couldn't find a viable site. Anyway, I guess this will just be closed if it isn't favorable.

Description:
Every day I will update this thread with what we should read. We will take a break on Friday, saturday and sunday.
We will not cover Esslemont''s books plus he's not finish publishing them so yea. Plus the Erikson's books can be read without reading Esslemont's.

This is my first Read along so please give any ideas you might have that might further it. I am doing this because I want to become a better writer and get a general idea about what other people think when they read material i read. Also reading is fun and its fun to pick other people's brains.

What i expect from reading the synopsis on the back...

blood is mentioned atleast 3 times so i expect some dark fantasy with possible vampires and werewolves in a mixture of warfare between mortals and the deities they worship. They mention a whiskeyjack and a tattersail i expect a love affair between these two.

please take today to read the synopsis on the back if you're reading along with me....please take tomorrow to read the prologue and the first two pages before it.

I liked the prologue it tells me we have some interesting characters. It is dark like i thought but I see no vampires or werewolves yet. It seems there is a battle between gods and mortals. Im interested to see what comes out of it. The character introduced ganoes was interesting. He wanted to be a soldier even defying his father to become one.

Gannoes listens to news that comes from the four corners and even speaks it to the wrong people. They didn't lash out but i can tell they didn't appreciate it. Something about someones death. I'm curious to learn who this dassem is.

we hear rumors of a leader named surly who has renamed her self laseen. Apparently she took over the empire recently. Sometimes a name change can be comforting actually anykind of change can be. Sometimes its not.
