Review: Fate of an Empire Jonathan Pasquariello

The fantasy world brought to life in this story has all of the details to draw you in and keep you reading and yes wanting more. Ancient weapons like the trebuchets bring us to the past. Character development excellent and believable. Rurik who loses his brother in the first battle depends upon his life-long friend to watch his back. One of my favorite lines from the story. "Nothing gets your blood rushing like a good skirmish in the morning." General Saris leader of the Talurian army and Thandril a Druid and the general's closest friend come to do battle with other armies. Will they be able to defend the Keep? another of my favorite lines from the story "We are incapable of understanding such atrocities outside our set of ethics and morals." The generals wife dies while birthing his newborn son Archoas. This is a fun read and I look forward to reading more by this extremely talented author. Well written.
