A Branch of Silver, a Branch of Gold by Anne E. Stengl

Post by Firedrake »

For lovers of classic fantasy, there is a wonderful book out called "A Branch of Silver, a Branch of Gold" by Anne Elisabeth Stengl. The writing is exquisite, and the story also. Though it's very loosely inspired by the fairy tale of the Twelve Dancing Princesses, it's not the same story at all, and has a dark, but not depressing, edge. It's also very solidly character based. One of the better books I've read this year.
