The Legacy of the Key by SL Morgan

Post by Brunettebaby32 »

I just finished reading this book and I can't wait to read the next one. It's part of the Ancient Guardian series.

This book had everything I could want in a fantasy book. It intertwined modern space travel, otherworldly amazingness, romance, monarchies, adventure, and some 16th century architecture.

The concept was very unique, and something I haven't come across before. When I started reading it, I didn't want to put it down!

Reece is an awesome character and I'm looking forward to getting to know her better.

Anyone else read this book?

I have read this book and the whole series. I just could not put down this series. You will definitely get to know Reece very well in deed. Have you been able to read the whole series yet?

My opinion:

I know a lot of people have their own opinions about this book but I see it more as a fantasy/ paranormal book with very settle romance thrown in. I would not characterize it as just a romance book. From reading other people’s reviews on this book, when I was trying to find a new author to follow, I was getting confused on if this book was more romance or more paranormal/ fantasy. So I dug a little deeper, it seemed that people who started reading this book and thinking it was a romance, having that set of mind of what they normally read in romance books, was disappointed. People who set their minds for this book as a paranormal/ fantasy book, they liked it better. Then I decided that I would read it for myself, and boy, was I hooked. I ended up reading all the books in this series actually. I ended up being impatient for the 4th book to come out earlier this year.

S.L. Morgan writes about a world that would make you wish it was possible to visit. The first book does start off a little slow but it does leave you hanging to read more (it did for me, it made me hungry for more. Hahaha… ok ok), but boy, does it open the gates for a lot of action scenes to come in the series (which I love books like this). This book series is not your typical vampire/ werewolf/zombie, fantasy/ paranormal series, this book gives off a total different fantasy. You will understand once you read this book or even the series.

The author at first seemed to be very new at writing books. That is the feeling I got from reading this book but after reading all four books in this series, it felt that the writer was growing and I was able to witness her writing accomplishments. I believe, because of witnessing her accomplishments in writing, is the reason I was hooked and wanted more. Thinking and hoping to myself, that this book would become a TV series or even a movie one day (hoping that they do not change anything from the book, like we all think from reading a book first before watching the movie).
