I stumbled across this series while browsing the fantasy section and fell in love. It's Harry potter meets Percy Jackson. It's set in an academy for descendants of the Greek gods and takes you on a journey of their battles and high school drama. Funny, entertaining and different. There are a lot of fantasy books out there although these ones are just that bit different rather than following the standard vampire, werewolf romance story. A must read suitable for anyone

This series is one of my all time favorite series, it follows the adventures of a girl named Gwen Frost. She goes to Mythos Academy a school where even the lowliest geek can chop off a monsters head. She has the power to touch anything or anyone and learn all their secrets, unintentionally or not. This series is six books long but you'll never want it to end or put the books down.
