I like that there are humanistic qualities in the main characters. In many sci-fi books, these aspects become lost to fiction. Lilla having a panic attack in the sample is the perfect example of this aspect of the author's writing. Congrats to the author on BOTD! :)

I love Lilla's resolve in changing the refugees' plight. The book seems to be a good mix of science fiction, romance and fantasy, making for an interesting and captivating read. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I am impressed that the author took messages about social inequality and turned it into a science fiction/ fantasy book. The adoption of a strong female protagonist also adds dimension to the story as someone to aspire to be in real life. I think that the Dark Lord of Destruction can be any of the social ills that we currently face whether it be economic, political, social or environmental. The description of the refugee camps in the novel also reminds me of the numerous refugee camps around the world that house a variety of being fleeing violence or the destruction of their home countries by environmental factors.

The book sounds interesting and exciting with lots of twists and turns. It is fast paced enough to keep my attention till the end of the book. I also wonder what a Lumenian is and how Lilla can stop DLD being the last Lumenian. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This review definitely has me wanting to read the book. I am glad that it is not a cliff hanger, but leaves me wanting more. It is being added to my want to read list.

Not all that original, but very much interesting anyway. Sci-fi is my most loved genres, so it is not surprising that stories began blending together and get surprised by storyline is getting a lot harder. But after detailed review I can't wait to read this book and see how it will play out in the end! Thanks for recommendations!

Sci-fi is not my favorite genre but the sample passage and this review make me interested in reading the rest of this book. The characters seem very realistic and human, though they are blue and on a spaceship! The review helps me understand what will be happening in the book. I also like that there aren’t too many cliffhangers!

I am looking forward to digging into this novel to know Lilla and how she fights the DLD. There seems to be love triangle in the novel which adds spice to the story. Who will win Lilla’s heart? There is only one way to find out. Happy reading to all of us!

It's a refreshing plot. The originality of the story and the action is very imaginative. The only part that I don't like much is that there are some parts that took a long time to narrate what really happens, and the progress of the story sometimes took too much pages just for one setting. And there are also some part that are not clearly explained or too confusing to follow. I'll give it a 3 over 4. The story alone is great.

This young-adult science-fiction novel seems quite impressive: winner of five awards and a very important message. I have added it to my reading list. Great review!
