This book reminds me of HP Lovecraft and his horror sci-fi. The cover is definitely eye-catching, I knew there was something terrifying in this book after I saw that cover.

Thank you so much for the review!

I experienced something like that in the first short story "Disarrhoea." When the West Nile Virus was spreading in New York City, the mayor then, Rudolph Giulianni, announced he was going to spray the entire city with DEET to cut down on the mosquitos responsible for spreading the virus to fowl and then to humans. We were instructed not to go outside while they covered the entire city with DEET. It was a bit nervewracking, not being able to go outside for that period of time. I can't even imagine what it would be like to be trapped inside for longer than that.

Poems and short stories are not my go-to read, but I did find the idea of a disorienting airborne pathogen on humans and how it affected society quite intriguing. I'll see what the first few pages of the book holds for me.

Very weird stories. However, they are very captivating and have you needing to know more about what is going on. Well written.

'Official Review: Disarrhoea' by Kevin Vodden is thorough and informative. It well presents the contents of the anthology for readers. The point that one of the stories in the book is related to the effects of a disorienting airborne pathogen on humans and the resulting breakdown of society is worth mentioning in the book. Also, the point that the touches of realism throughout the stories include text messages expressed verbatim, credible scientific theory and conjecture, and realistic-sounding future human names, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the book is an entertaining thrill ride for any fan of science fiction or horror!

Today's BOTD is a collection of 6 stories that fans of speculative fiction, scifi, & horror are going to love. In addition to the descriptive scenes and horrifying events, these thought-provoking tales are sure to stay with readers long after the last page. Thanks so much for the helpful review. Keep up the amazing work! :-)

Well, this seems like a real treat. I definitely did not expect a sci-fi horror short story collection to be book of the day.

It sounds like the short stories in this book have been influenced by life in the last two years with quarentine. your review has me completely intrigued and I will be adding this to my want to read shelf!

It is appealing that the author employs neat, elegant prose without unnecessary fanfare. The first story made me chuckle, it felt typically British.

I love reading sci-fi horror stories and Disarrhoea seems to be right up my alley. The synopsis of each story is very interesting especially about the thrill ride and reading these at night with no one in sight will surely make the activity exciting!

All these stories in the book sound interesting, as does the author's writing style. I'm interested in "Credit Where Credit's Due", intellectual dogs and cats must be a fun read.

I'm naturally a fan of short stories and novellas. The fact that it centers on a science fiction theme makes it a must-read. Nicely written review.

I find the six stories in this anthology amazing. However, I am especially interested in the story titled "Terror Pericolosa", given the reviewer's note that a great deal of imagination went into the story. I think this book will make my day. Highly recommended.

I don't appreciate books with a horror genre but this one sounds settling enough for my liking. I could try reading it and see I will keep up. T🌱🌼hank you for the review
