Great job on your detailed review! I don't usually read fantasy and one of the reasons why is because they can be confusing. You mentioned that it was hard to keep track of the characters and their familiar names, which is one of my pet peeves. Also too bad about the stereotypical female characters.

I enjoyed reading the review, as others have stated it does provide a moral. In a constructive point of view, I would also agree that the character names while meant to be fantasy based, are too similar, and seem hard to form the pronunciation correctly of them all. I would be more interested in the book if there were better character names. I can be quite the picky reader. I do enjoy dragons so I thought perhaps this would fall into the category of books I like.
I am reading it as we speak, but based on your review I should in theory like the book, though it seems to havee as you stated a run on of kind of umbrella terming things into one thing. Which I feel can damage a book, since I enjoy most books due to their unique ability to pull you into the story as if you were there in person.

800 pages is quite the book! Especially if all the characters have similar names. I'm sad to read that the female characters are underdeveloped. Based on those 3 things, I don't think I would enjoy this book. Great review!

Great review! It gives a detailed opinion of the book without giving anything important away, which is admirable. I probably won't read the book, though, because 800 pages are a bit too many for me.

I find it hard to enjoy stories when there are too many characters thrown in.

Not sure if I’ll enjoy this one. The confusing names are a real downer.

Congrats on book of the day Kislany! I'm going to pass on this one though, high fantasy isn't a big favourite of mine (though I love fantasy touches) and this sounds a bit too long, with too many similar sounding characters to keep track of.

The book dragon gate by Sam venstone is a book written based on the community's cultures where worriors are sent to eliminate the dangerous wild animals like the dragon which its parts like the eye are so valuable and has power. The writer dwells mostly on men than women. I like the book and will add it to my bookshelf.

Thanks for the review. It sounds like a great fantasy book. Too bad it is so male-centric though.
