“The match will be at seven!” I like how this book doesn’t shy away from structured violence and from characters being themselves, as they express throughout. Vanguard is such an interesting phrase (even outside of the mutual fund perspective ) and I’m glad to see it here.

Thank you for the very telling and thorough review of "Demonslayer" by Ian P. Eviston.
It certainly looks like an intricate and memorable story with people being infused with power, losing hands and arms and (ugh, shudder) cannibals.
Being the first in the series it is good that the characters are well developed and that there is a good strong plot with orphaned siblings and heroes.

Sci-Fi/Fantasy is my favorite genre, in this case I am discouraged by a low average rating. Still, I am intrigued by the lament configuration alike object on the cover and the description of the storyline is very interesting in the aspect of race's survival as well.
