This book looks brilliant. I love books like this, the only downside is the child abuse though. After reading your review, I will definitely give this a go.

Paranormal romance is my favorite genre, and I'm not squeamish about the graphic nature or darkness of the book. I already know, just by the nature of the book, that Maggie and Daniel will fall in love, but 'watching it happen makes for a delicious read. I can't wait to read further! Thanks for the excellent review!

House of Pain by Denna Holm. A paranormal science fiction romance novel 367 page novel that keeps you on the edge of your seat and once you start reading House of Pain you won't want to put the book down. A dark and devilish book that will leave you lusting for more. It's dripping with tension, romance, and drama!...be certain, if you are one who is down for some macadre romance and some sexiness in a fantasy fiction novel then this is the book to read.

The year is 3515, most of the world being destroyed by both man's world and natural disaster. A book for mature readers only. The story of a succubus woman who wants to find love of only one man despite who she is and where she comes from. Definitely a read for mature readers only.

Not a book I have read before but Holm's does a incredible job of writing a book that will keep readers in awe and not be able to put the book down until the last page is read.

Wow, I'm actually really intrigued by this review! I seem to kind of shy away from darker stuff, but sometimes that's where the magic is--in the dark. I'll add this to my to-read list, and I hope I have the guts to give it a try.

I'm not keen on reading apocalyptic or dark erotica content. I'm a teacher, so I'm sensitive to things about kids, wouldn't like to read something that describes them being abused. I'll pass on this book, but thanks for the review.

Science fiction/fantasy are the genres that I read the most so this book automatically piques my interest. Reading the blurb had me quickly putting this book on my to-be-read shelf. This book sounds like one I will enjoy so thanks for the engaging review!

Thanks for the great review! It’s good to know going in that this is more of a dark erotica novel than a sci-fi one. It was also good to have a heads up about the involvement of children. It sounds well written, but not a book for me.

This book definitely is not for me. I'm one of those squeamish readers for whom warning labels are made. Your review was very detailed. I'm tempted though as I do love a good character oriented story. This might come in my maybe one day list.

I wish I was told more about the parts that could be triggering. Also not a fan of child abuse being I suffer from PTSD from events from my childhood. So I'm not sure if this book would be for me because it could be triggering for me.

Good review. This has peaked my curiosity even though I don’t want to read about children being abused in any way. But the overall story seems intriguing. I’ll add it to the list of books to read.

Seeing magics nowadays were only for entertainment, but before it was the most devastating possession. Dark magic is not for me. I prefer to watch it than reading it.

This seems to be an interesting novel. I liked the plot and apocalyptic setting. The characters seem promising. Thank you for the free book. Downloaded it from amazon. Congrats on BOTD!

I have never tried reading a book of sci-fi genre with dark fantasy. The review of the book gives some insight on the storyline. The story of Maggie struggles of survival in future with her faced betrayals is a story I would love to read.

Official Review: House of Pain by Denna Holm is a useful piece of work of the reviewer! The description of the story in the review leads the curious readers to read the book thoroughly! The negative points of the story have been well brought into the knowledge of readers!
