I enjoyed the review. The book is very interesting. I liked the way the author begins the story with a lot of suspense. I also found myself wanting to read on to find out what would happen next.

Interesting review. I'd be interested in learning more about the exploits of Princess Jarla, Delvin, and their pals. Congratulations on claiming BOTD.

I have been busy of late ,still stuck in Chapter 5,I can’t wait to see if how Delvin would prove himself not guilty of the crimes charged doesn’t make sense him killing his close friend..they might be a plot twisted and still wandering what is this mysterious magical thing that they are all after..can’t wait to finish this book..absolutely love love the story line..also wandering if they’re interesting books by Charles Townsends.

I read the magicians secret and loved it. The book is full of adventures and readers are taken along with Delvin as he helps Jarla stop the ongoing war. Thank you for your review

This seems like quite a captivating storyline. Would love to go on an adventure with Delvin and his companions and mostly to see the exploits of princess Jarla. I'm adding this book to my bookshelf. Thanks for the review. Congrats on being the book of the day.

I love magical mystery stories with wizards and a hint of darkness. I do like good well-rounded characterization though so I might just give this one a miss. Thanks for a great review 😊

I must confess that I mostly was drawn to this book thanks to the title's consonance to TV-series I really enjoyed watching. It was only later, after I investigated reviews that I knew what a treat I got myself. Actually reading the book only confirmed everything good said about it, and storyline held so much intrigue and mystery that I simply couldn't help myself and bought the rest books from "Illusions of Power" series.

Books about magic are always a good idea. We get this sense of adventure and drama mixed with fantasy that we don't get in other books. I would definetly read this one.

This isn't a genre of interest, so I'll be skipping it. However, I read the first chapter and the story certainly kicks off at high velocity with some wizardly hocus-pocus to set the stage. Congrats to Mr. Townsend on his achievement and BOTD.

It will be quite devastating for Delvin to see his master murdered....And to think he did it.
Well, it seems like a very interesting read. I hope to pick it up soonest.
Thanks for the well-written review and congrats to the author.

Inasmuch as the book talks about the secret of the magicians, it also talks about Delvin's journey from a normal lad to a certain stature in magic. I love the storyline, and I love the author's writing style. Thank you for the honest review
