This one is probably not my cup of tea. It sounds well written and even more well received, but fantasy that revolves around impending wars tend to lose my interest a bit, so I think I'll be skipping it. (even though the army of the dead sounds like such a cool concept!)

Based on your review and the reading sample, this book seems absolutely endearing. As you mentioned, the writing is simple enough for anyone to enjoy, and the descriptions, from characters expressions to sounds, are vivid enough that you can become fully engrossed in the tale. Thank you for your review!

Today's book appears to look at the motives of individuals and nations to go to war, despite the consequences. Fans of fantasy stories about politics and governance may be interested in this.

In this fabulous fictional story, mysterious elements seem to play an intriguing role in moving this story, as it appears when Mallia tells about the powerful light and the dead army.

I love fantasy, and war can be an interesting subject when viewed through this genre. I’m particularly intrigued by the idea of an army of the dead and whether the Scandosians, as the most productive members of the kingdom, will be able to win their war for freedom. It sounds like a book in which nothing is morally black-and-white, and that’s just the way I like it. Thank you for the helpful review.

The more that you learn,
The more places you'll go.

Usually, the role of the author in books of this nature is to clip the reader on his shoulder like an eagle and take him or her to places where he'll never be in life. The author did that very well, crafting the fictional kingdom of Naataros where God becomes Lah and elves coexist with humans. The novel is also in simple English, which will make it very easy for readers to understand without having to stop and check the dictionary for the meanings of unknown words. The book was also exceptionally well edited.
What a beautiful way to describe the author's role in the literature experience!
There are so many themes that can be spotted in this book, from freedom to love and even persistence. The theme of freedom is espoused in the elves and in their relentless fight for freedom even after the previous war had cost them almost everything they had, even their lives. The theme of love is projected in the genuine love Fares had for his nephew, who had lost his parents. It is not anyone that can boast of a caring uncle like that. Fares brings up Melhel as a strong soldier and blacksmith, a young man that can take care of himself.
I'm glad this topic is broached. I've seen firsthand how the bond between nephew and uncle can be a powerful one.

What a wonderful review!

Definitely a read for me! I can do with a good fantasy novel. I curious to see if the King manages to keep his people safe, and I'm just as curious to see what Fares will decide... Will he join the King's forces or not. Thanks for a wonderful and informative review.

Normally, I don't like war stories, but this one has an interesting plot. The first few pages appear to be dramatic, but the best books are written with the best scenes saved for last, and that deserves a fighting chance to be read all the way through. I appreciate your engrossing review.
