This ancient historic fantasy novel seems like it is full of magic, thrills, and adventure. It's not for me, but I'm sure fans of this category will enjoy it. Great review!

Elves, dwarves, wizards, and dark magic What's not to love about this fantasy historical fiction? Great review. I can't wait to read this one.

“The Temple of Truth and Lies” by James Duvall is a sci-fi fantasy that takes place around 45,000 BC. A group of individuals from all over the world left for a journey from the city of Nim Patti Nam and they headed for Pangorn Island. They planned to explore a temple built by a wizard and find a treasure. Their group included dwarfs, a wizard and an evil sorcerer. Their quest would put them in danger with giant lizards, spiders and animated skeletons. While the book reads like an enchanting fairy tale it is well written and action filled enjoyable fantasy.

Though it's a historical fiction set around 45000 BC and the story seems astonishingly interesting about the journey of individuals from different parts of the world to explore a pyramidal temple.

What a review! The review was almost as good as the book. I am glad I am not the only one that enjoyed the switch from first-person to third-person narrative.

Thank you for your informational review. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm not a fan of science fiction and I have difficulty following it. I could tell that it was very detailed and how it went from first person to third person. I'm sure those that enjoy this genre will gladly read it, but I am going to pass it up.

A very detailed and informative review, thank you. However, I don't agree with some of your perspective. You stated that the book captured your attention from the very first page. I, myself, could barely get through the first part (what was done in first person) due to the endless, and what I considered monotonous names and descriptions. The sheer amount of names involved didn't seem to be necessary, or important, to what I did read. And the descriptions weren't engaging or captivating for me, but actually a little boring.
I can't comment on if I agree with a lot of your review or not, because I only read the sample on Amazon (and was barely able to get through that much). But I must say your review made the book sound a lot more exciting and readable than what I was exposed to.
Despite your great review, unfortunately, I highly doubt I'll ever read this book in its entirety. It's possible I just had an off day, but highly unlikely.

James Duvall seems to be a highly imaginative, very creative and talented writer of dark fantasy fiction. The setting of the story is 45000 BC and to imagine life during this time period is intriguing and interesting. You have written the review very well. Congratulations on the BOTD!

There seems like a lot is going on in this book, but that is exactly my kind of book. I love books with rich narratives and deep plots and mystical creatures. You make it sound full of life and being. I'm intrigued. Wonderful review.
