I don't typically read fantasy supernatural but I like stories about witches. So I think I will give this one a try, thanks for the review.

A vampire novel doesn't really hold special appeal for me. I'll give the sample a try, though, and I'm glad to hear that it seems like it can stand alone even though it's a sequel.

After reading the epic vampire saga by Anne Rice, I was tired of vampires terribly. So I haven't read such books in a long time.
Maybe it's time to return? Your review intrigued me :wink2:

Its a good review. However after reading it, I am not going to read it as I do not find the plot very intriguing.
What is the most special thing I did today- I was MYSELF. Happy and in love and unapologetically myself.

Beautifully written review. The fact that you mentioned that even without reading the previous story you can still follow gives me great anticipation for the novel.

I, like other readers here have avoided other vampire books as it can be overdone. But I like the way you describe the vampires in her books as having similarities but some key differences. I also was glad to hear I wouldn't miss the first book. I hate starting at the second book usually.

Great review. I like it when an author does not follow the main stream with describing subjects like vampires. Those books have me working out the ending before I am even halfway through the book.

Brilliant review! I'd love to read a paranormal story that is different. There are far too many vampire stories today with most of them being too shallow to enjoy reading. I'd like to give this one a try.

I really would like to take a break from vampires and werewolves. But this sounds pretty nice because vampires can walk in the daylight without shining bright like diamonds. You got me with the review. You did a wonderful job. Kudos!
