This is a well written and interesting novel especially in regards to the character development. I also like that the character of Cooper seems to have traits similar to autism, but can be one of the heroes in the story because of this trait. I have never heard of a novel that incorporates abuse and bullying, but despite his upbringing he still has positive spirit.

#BOTDs that contain humor, suspense, and distinct character developments have been some of my favorites. The impressive editing with a new author makes this a must read for me.

This sounds like the perfect book for sci-fi fans, but I’m not too fond of the more mature scenes and language. Still, congrats to the author on a great debut.

By the sample I can tell this isn’t my kind of book. The author has an easy to read writing style, though.
Also, this isn’t really important, but I see the reviewer said that the book was exceptionally well edited with no misspelled words or grammar mistakes, but I couldn’t help noticing two mistakes in the first half of the sample chapter (a missing word in one sentence, and an added word in another). That wouldn’t stop me from reading a good story, I’m just throwing it out there.

Thanks for your review. This book sounds like an unusual one for young adults. I would like to see how the story of Coupe and Cooper would unfold.

Great job on the review! I really liked Cooper's abilities in the sample; I was immediately attracted to what powers he has. Due to the abuse in the book, I will have to pass, but congrats to the author on BOTD! :)

This is a lovely sci fi fantasy book that will be enjoyed by young and old readers alike:)

A lot of literary devices are used which serve to bring the book to life.

The reader meets two very different boys who also have a few unique things in common. Cooper, who never speaks in school and Coupe who wishes to remain invisible in school. As the novel progresses, these two boys are seen to possess special "powers" which are kept as a secret from everyone else.

It will be interesting to see what they use these powers for as well as whether there are others like them at their school or even at another school.

Cooper is my hero no one deserves the punishment like him. But I hope for Kevin sake he needs to get what's coming to him. It's not that dark it's very intriguing going back to finish reading.

While Sci-Fi isn't usually a genre I like, the sample of this book had a lot going for it. I appreciate your review letting me know a little more about the friendship between the two boys. I do enjoy the humor, family, and friendship of the story and I am also curious how they got their "specialness". Great review!
