I enjoyed the 1st book so much, as Townsend truly know how to keep the readers attention, especially cause you can't predict what's going to happen next. It's a bit sad to hear that Princess Jarla and Grimbolt take a bit of a back seat ride in this book, but I'm sure there is a very good reason for this. Super excited to start reading. Thanks for a great review. Congrats on BOTD and thanks for the free book

The review brings something far beyond the simple desire to read this work, I was intrigued by how the plot unfolded and it will probably be my next book to read.

Delvin and his friends have definitely come a long way from the first part of the series. I haven't read any of them yet. I'll check out the first part before continuing with any of the others from the series.

Delvin, the trickster magician, and eager Nippy create a rapport that is hilarious to watch. In addition to Sky and Nya's abilities, Princess Jarla's determination reinforces the team's dynamic, making them a likable trio the readers can identify with.

Thank you for your great review. I also like the author's style of writing. This sounds like a wonderful series and I'm glad each book can be read alone. That's nice that there is a summary of what happened before in case you read this book first or it's been a long time since you read the other books. I will add this book to my list of books to read.

‪The third book in the series, where this time, the magicians are trying to take over Argent and Hengel and Delvin is back to stop them. This was a good read for me. The plot is captivating and filled with adventure.

It is true that Princess Jarla and Grimbolt played very important roles in the previous books, especially the first as I have read it fully. It would be nice, as a result, to see more focus on them. I am happy, though, that Delvin is growing more confident and I look forward to learning how he battles with the other magicians from the Guild, especially with them becoming more prepared.
Many thanks for the review. :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat:

Your review describes this book as being another winning novel written about Delvin the magician. He must once again thwart the attempts of other magicians from taking over some cities. The action is fast-paced and the plot is thrilling. I want to read this 5 / 5 star book.

It sounds like "The Magic Lantern" by Charles Townsend delivers another thrilling adventure in the series. With the magicians resurfacing to claim Argent and Hengel, Delvin and his friends face their toughest challenge yet. Townsend's writing keeps the story engaging and fast-paced, drawing readers in from the very beginning. While the focus on Delvin may have overshadowed other characters like Princess Jarla and Grimbolt, the overall narrative remains compelling. The message of perseverance shines through as Delvin and his friends never give up despite the odds. With smooth pacing and no noticeable errors, this professionally edited book earns a solid 5 out of 5 stars. Perfect for young adult fantasy enthusiasts, "The Magic Lantern" promises an unforgettable journey.
