I got truly hooked on the title and the
cover of the book, and I made no mistake
by simply reading your review! Time travel
is a real classic and the book proves no
wrong. The review you gave makes it
sound like a juicy read expected to engage
all the senses and enjoy it thoroughly.

I have read other time-travel books and enjoyed them. However, this one has a large sci-fi feel to it, which is not something I enjoy.
I will probably skip this one.

Very detailed reviewed and I loved and totally got the Terminator reference. I was thinking the same thing when reading the sample chapters. I am not usually a fan of sci-fi and time travel but I am always up for trying new genres and this one has got my interest.

I watched a movie with this premise once, I wonder if it was about cars that turned into robots! Seriously though, it doesn't sound very creative, but a perfect score also catches my eye. I don't know if that's enough to interest me, but I found your review enjoyable and very well written.

Although I don’t normally read science fiction, this review had me envisioning ancient lands with the anticipation of befriending interesting characters. The review only describes a few characteristics yet entices one to believe there is more to discover about the characters within the pages. The idea a book could deliver heart pounding adventure is a tempting option for one desiring escape from reality. Escaping with a tale that appears to have complicated relationships, suspense, and what seems to be a vivid description of time and place that intrigues the reader to continue seeking answers from the story. If anyone worries about complex words and descriptions, they are addressed and appear to be resolved in short order. Thumbs up to the reviewer for giving someone something to ponder before selecting their next sci-fi book.

I enjoy time travel fiction as well. I'm interested to see where this story takes Eliza and her child. Good review. Thanks!

How fascinating that this fiction really highlights the struggles of humankind, including dictatorship, war and resistance. This may be about time travel, but those themes are time-less!
This post was brought to you by the word "specifically".

Wow! A time travelling book back to the twentieth millennium B.C. it does sound interesting and the time shift quite modern.
Based on the review, it sounds entertaining and the main character Nija and his friends sounds funny.
A great review, the book does seem to keep the readers at the edge of their seats, it is full of suspense and quite thrilling.

The fight scene at the beginning and the ensuing car chase were exciting; I was at the backseat cheering Eliza. I wonder if she and Nija will eventually meet. The history of humankind? That phrase got me.

Enticing review, Kislany!

:D I read a sample of “The Quantom Cartographer: Book of Cruxes” by Kristen Keenon Fisher and I was hesitant to read at first because I am not a big fan of scyfy in literature. However, I will say reading the samples gave me the urge to buy the book as they left me wanting to read more. It’s not like anything I’ve read before. With many imagery set, words that flowed through creating the world within mindsets, characters that had me questioning their part in the chapters. It is something you must read if you enjoy adventure, scyfy, suspense and overall fun. Definitely my new read for the month of March!

I wasn't sure what to think of the novel until I read "it is the history of humankind itself with all its never-ending struggles." The theme of resistance against oppression is a popular discourse these days. Also, I like how you took the time to point out interesting characters to look out for. I haven't read many time travel novels, but I might just consider reading this one. Thanks for the review!

I was confused by the use of cartographer as meaning something otherworldly. I have worked as one years ago. I kept expecting something about a map, but then again, I only read the sample. I found the pace too fast for me; it did hold my interest.
