A young adult book of a 15-year old girl who lived on top of the mountains sounds interesting. Her dragon companion makes me want to read this book. I hope the errors are fixed now.

Okay, so first I know we are not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but I had dismissed this one purely for that reason. It looked like the cover was childish and probably geared towards young adults. While that part appears to be true, based on the short description, what I did not pick up on was everything else.

Your review is astounding and I found myself wanting to pick up this book and read it for myself. I cannot wait to hear the hilarious chitter-chatter that you described and learn more about this world the author has created. Thank you for a great review!

A versatile and nicely composed review of a book which also sounded at first to be a child's book or a book for younger and not for adult readers. I enjoy the way the reviewer points out the multiple layers of meaning in the story and I sense a connection with the character's artwork and the fantasy world that she lives in. This sounds like a fascinating story with many layers of meaning that can probably be enjoyed several times over, rather like the much larger, Lord of the Rings by Tolkien. I enjoyed the review and it kindled a desire for me to read a book which I may otherwise have dismissed.

Seemingly a beautiful fantasy. And this will stop in nowhere else than my 'to be read' list. Congratulations on being BOTD

A teenager who finds refuge in art sounds an inspirational and educational story for both, young people and adults. Ato's experience appears to be a journey of creativity where the impossible becomes possible. Thank you for your review! I'll add it on my shelf.

I would like to know how Ato's painting skills would comfort her in the absence of her missing parents. The friends that she befriends too should be encouraging in order to keep Ato happy in society.

Sounds like a splendid book and Ato paintings coming to life exposing her dreams. Beyond that Ato gets to travel to those places in her thoughts and while on this journey she awakes a dragon that is going on the ride with her. It had to be revealing for her to be fifteen and not having a single parent. Ato faces deadly creatures on this journey along with a faceless man preying own souls not just in Myr but also in her world. Ato seems to find consolation in her own through her paintings. I like the review, and it has open my eyes to reading something other than romance.

This sounds like a nice book for both young and adult with a deeper meaning than it intended to be. And it also teaches such thing as bravery and self-sacrifice, tells about people’s prejudices and misconceptions warns about the danger of falling into the trap of an obsessive lust for power. This is so much can be applied to our modern world. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I absolutely love books that are seemingly targeted toward young adults/youth but have added layers that appeal to adults. I love the ideal of it being an allegory on contemporary society! This definitely makes me want to read it. I'm also intrigued by the idea of her living alone and being comforted by her art. I think most teens would dream of having no parents around, but it's not as great as it sounds! Thank you for such a great review!

It seems like a really interesting fantasy. I will give this book a try because I would also love to have an insight into the world of art and adventures.

Interesting concept: art, once completed, no longer belongs to the artist. Wonderful review.
