Ellen must have found it difficult, having to flee from an abusive relative. I'd like to read more. Nice review.
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

I like when a fantasy includes some of the real-life character building that touches sensitive topics. Not that this was a life-lesson book, but the protagonist was realistic. Glad to hear from you again, Net.

A nice fictional book set in island in the Antarctic Ocean and follows princess Ellen fleeing away due to abuse from her half brother. The story appears interesting. Thanks for your insightful review.

I appreciate your comments. By the way, I really like your avatar. Is she a relative?

This does sound like a fascinating read that tackles multiple issues, from sexual abuse to inter-species understanding and symbiosis. Thanks for highlighting the things you loved about the book, I'm no fan of cliff-hanger endings myself, so I'm glad you addressed that. Thanks for a wonderful review!

I love series where the author keeps you coming back for more without leaving details unanswered. That takes real skill. I'm glad you enjoyed this one. Thanks.

This book seems to portray afflictions, fantasy, and royalty. I like that Ellen was able to glow even after she suffered from sexual abuse and depression. I enjoyed your review.

His self-talk, as depicted by the author, becomes increasingly maniacal. Although I disliked the character, I admired the author’s ability to deepen my aversion.
Good character development. Great review.

Ellylion wrote: 20 Jun 2020, 10:17 I too prefer the book of a series to be a stand-alone and do not have an abrupt ending. Or at least to have some logical conclusion :) I believe, this book describes some fascinating fantasy world really worth exploring. Thank you for a great review! :)
Hi again, Elly. Some reviews ae a pleasure. This one wrote itself. The book is a nice escape from the air-conditioned confinement of my world right now. Glad you liked it.
